Kris brings over two decades of military experience to his role as a private shooting instructor. He began his career in January 1998, joining the U.S. Marines where he served as an infantryman. During his four years in the Marines, Kris spent two years with the 2nd Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team Company, providing elite security and counterterrorism operations.
After transitioning to a career in armed security, Kris later joined the U.S. Army as an infantryman, where he proudly served for 16 years, ultimately retiring from active service. Over the course of his 20-year career, Kris dedicated 18 years to training and qualifying both Marines and soldiers in the use of rifles, pistols, and a wide array of other weapons.
His expertise extends to specialized skills, including his role as a designated marksman in support of close-quarters battle operations. Kris’s passion for teaching and his extensive background in firearms training make him a skilled and knowledgeable instructor, committed to helping others achieve proficiency and confidence with firearms.
Kris joined Safefire in March 2025, where he continues to share his vast knowledge and experience with individuals seeking professional training in firearm handling and safety.
