NFA Transfers

Choose one of the two ways to buy then follow the steps below

Silencer Shop Purchases

First:

Purchase NFA Item, Tax Stamp(s), and trust options from Silencer Shop.

Third Party Purchases

First:

Purchase NFA Item and have it shipped to SafeFire, if applicable. Fill out our NFA Transfer Form. Once your item arrives, SafeFire will give you a call to schedule a Kiosk appointment.

After you’ve completed one of the two steps above:

  1. Complete your Silencer Shop profile at Kiosk (Fingerprinting, Registration Info, ETC).
  2. Purchase Tax Stamp(s) and trust options from Silencer Shop (via Services tab).
  3. Register for your ATF EFORMS account at https://eforms.atf.gov/ . Use the same email and registration information as your Silencer Shop account. Be sure to save your (auto-generated) EFORMS User ID and four digit pin code – You’ll need it to certify!
  4. Sign Docusign email once SS compliance team has verified account.
  5. Wait for phone call from our team to schedule certification appointment (remotely or in person).
  6. Certify Form 4 EFILE with our in-house NFA Certifier. You will need your ATF EFORMS User ID and four digit pin code to certify. Now your wait time will officially start!
  7. Wait for approval. SafeFire will contact you when we receive your approval.

By transferring an NFA item to us, you are agreeing to the following:

Receiving and processing of the firearm may take up to two business days (Monday-Friday) after confirmation of delivery. Once processing is complete, a SafeFire employee will notify you via your contact information.”

I understand and agree that items not claimed (ie. paperwork started) within 30 business days are subject to storage fees. Items unclaimed after 90 days will be surrendered to SafeFire LLC and sold. Denied transactions will still be charged a transfer fee. Futhermore, a denied buyer has 30 days to arrange for a refund from the seller and pay return shipping.

I understand that if I shoot my NFA Item during the waiting period, I forfeit any entitlement to a refund if denied.

Costs displayed are for third party transfers. No discount for additional NFA items on a transfer.

We will call when the item(s) are ready to make an appointment for fingerprinting and such. Make sure to bring the receipt or invoice for tax purposes when you come.

 

*An additional $50 fee will be applied on top of the existing transfer cost for all third-party NFA transfers that do not include the above transfer form.
