DESCRIPTION:Join Phalanx Academy’s Defensive Training Institute for an in-depth handgun training experience\, hosted right here at SafeFire. This two-day course series is designed to help shooters of varying experience levels strengthen their firearm skills in lowlight scenarios.  \n\n\n\nCase studies consistently show that the majority of violent encounters occur between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Operating effectively in low-light and no-light environments requires more than basic firearm proficiency—it demands refined indexing\, automaticity\, and the ability to perform under stress without full visual confirmation. \n\n\n\nThis course is designed to provide a safe\, structured environment where students can develop and apply these critical skills in realistic conditions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCourse Topics\n\n\n\nStudents will train and develop proficiency in: \n\n\n\n\nFocal shift under stress\n\n\n\nFunctioning without sight reliance\n\n\n\nKinesthetic awareness and indexing\n\n\n\nBlind weapon manipulation\n\n\n\nFree-hand flashlight techniques\n\n\n\nWeapon-mounted light techniques\n\n\n\nUtilizing light and shadow for movement\n\n\n\nTeam movement fundamentals\n\n\n\nCover vs. concealment in low-light environments\n\n\n\nAnd more\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStudent Requirements\n\n\n\nThis is not a beginner-level course.
